The wheelchairs provided by Wheelchair Foundation UK are purchased in bulk from manufacturers in China by their agent (Wheelchair Foundation USA) and designed to be the best possible solution in developing countries. They cost £100 each,  delivered by a 280 wheelchair container to their country distribution partners, and are offered free to those most in need. Each donation of £50 will be combined with funds provided by Wheelchair Foundation USA specifically for that purpose, to deliver a wheelchair until these combinable gifted funds have been exhausted. Wheelchairs with similar features sell for over £300 in the UK and Ireland.

Wheelchairs shipped to developed countries do not qualify for the combinable funds and therefore cost £100.
